VANCOUVER – Production company Wind Sun Sky Entertainment announced today it has added two new key executives.
Jay Bennett has been hired as vice-president of franchise and creative strategy and Romney Grant is now senior vice-president. These new hires plus the company’s existing executive hold over 190 years of digital content creation, cross platform integration and global brand building experience.
“Jay specializes in spearheading and driving innovative cross platform content strategies by blending first-rate storytelling with digital, social, gaming, branded and interactive extensions.” said Catherine Winder (above), CEO and executive producer. “His varied experience allows our team to dig even deeper into the many ground-breaking new multi-platform applications we are involved in.”
Bennett is an Emmy-winner, having worked with global broadcasters and brands such as Disney, Netflix, BBC, NBCU, Walmart and Kimberly-Clark.
Grant, spent 10 years as an independent producer, and time served as an executive with Paperny Entertainment and eOne Unscripted.
WSS is a Canadian multimedia company led by former LucasFilm executive Winder (Invincible, The Angry Birds Movie 1 & 2, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics).
Two new projects – My Singing Monsters: Fandemonium and the adaptation Invincible, are being produced by the company for Amazon Prime Video in partnership with Skybound North/Skybound Entertainment.
