Telefilm invests $480K in 60 small film festivals

Telefilm Canada announced last week a funding commitment of $235,000 to support 34 small Canadian film festivals with start dates between April 1 and Sept. 30, 2025, as part of the second intake of Telefilm’s General Admission Festivals Program.

The program provides streamlined funding to small and/or emerging Canadian film festivals aimed at the general public.

Combined with its previously announced $245,000 investment supporting 26 general admission film festivals in the first round of the program, Telefilm is investing a total of $480,000 in fiscal year 2024-2025 to back 60 film festivals across Canada.
