TORONTO – In the wake of Tony Staffieri being made permanent president and CEO of Rogers Communications, there have been several major changes to the company’s leadership team.
To start, the role of chief legal and regulatory officer, which was held by Lisa Damiani since spring of 2021, is no longer listed on the company’s leadership page. (Update: Damiani is staying on as an advisor for the Shaw transaction.)
Instead, Ted Woodhead, who was the company’s senior vice-president of regulatory, is now listed as chief regulatory officer and government affairs and Marisa Wyse is listed as chief legal officer. Woodhead first joined Rogers in 2000. He later worked at Telus and then returned to Rogers in 2020, according to his bio on the Rogers website. Wyse joined Rogers in 2014, according to her bio.
Additionally, the website indicates Mahes Wickramasinghe was appointed to the position of chief administrative officer at Rogers in January. Wickramasinghe previously worked for two decades in senior executive roles for Canadian and global organizations including Canadian Tire Corporation.
Cartt.ca has previously reported Phil Hartling was made president of wireless at Rogers in January and in the same month, Colette Watson was named president of Rogers Sports and Media.
We also reported in January, Jordan Banks, former president of Rogers Sports and Media, Dave Fuller, former president of wireless and Sevaun Palvetzian, former chief communications officer, were leaving the company.
More recently, Glenn Brandt was named Rogers’s chief financial officer, taking over from Paulina Molnar who was the interim CFO.
