MONTREAL — Quebecor’s digital radio platform QUB Radio released today the 500th episode of its En 5 minutes (In 5 Minutes) podcast, which invites listeners to learn about a wide variety of subjects related to science, history and current affairs, all in five minutes.
The special 500th episode fittingly tackles the question “What is a minute?”, exploring why there are 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, and who decided a day was divided into 24 hours.
According to QUB Radio’s press release, its popular daily podcast has passed two million plays since its debut (that’s according to Triton Digital’s Podcast Metrics digital measurement service, says the release).
“The listening results and the success of En 5 minutes demonstrate the interest in a wide variety of information content and in short audio formats on demand. The podcast deals with subjects that are sometimes dry and complex but their treatment makes them digestible and accessible to all, in a good mood and simplicity of tone. En 5 minutes is an ideal tool to increase your general knowledge and, of course, to shine in society,” said Charles Trahan, the podcast’s presenter and producer, in the release.
