TORONTO — Although Rogers Communications has not made a formal announcement, a recent change to the Rogers leadership team webpage indicates Phil Hartling (above) has been promoted to the position of president of the company’s wireless division.

Last week, we told Cartt.ca readers about a Globe and Mail report that said Dave Fuller, then president of Rogers Wireless, was leaving the company.

Another Globe article published yesterday said Dan Golberg, senior vice-president of strategy and corporate development, and Sevaun Palvetzian, chief communications officer, are also leaving Rogers.

A Rogers spokesperson would not comment Tuesday about whether or not Fuller has left the company or if any other executives are leaving.

Hartling has been with the company for more than 20 years in various leadership roles in both operational and strategic functions, according to his biography on the Rogers website.

Most recently, Hartling led the service area expansion of the company’s broadband services. Prior to that, he was president of the company’s Connected Home business.

His 30 years of industry experience in both cable and wireless has spanned a variety of functions, including marketing, sales, customer service, provisioning and corporate affairs, according to his bio.

He holds a Commerce degree and a Masters of Public Administration from Dalhousie University, and currently lives in Nova Scotia.

Hartling’s LinkedIn profile had not been updated as of the writing of this story to include his new position as president of wireless at Rogers. However, it does say he recently announced his retirement in 2022.
