TORONTO — Bell Media subsidiary Orbyt Media, a content syndication group, announced today Jennifer Morrison is joining the organization as senior manager, effective Oct. 10.
Morrison has been executive producer of CTV’s Etalk for the past 16 years, where she led the content team, and her experience includes producing coverage for major entertainment events such as the Oscars, the Golden Globe Awards, TIFF and two royal weddings, according to a press release.
“With a consistent focus on innovation across the realms of music, pop culture, content creation, and technology, Morrison describes herself as being ‘content obsessed’, and she looks forward to bringing her passion and experience to Orbyt Media,” the release reads.
In her new role, Morrison “oversees the day-to-day operations and continued growth of Orbyt Media, and will work closely with content creators, international vendors, and other stakeholders in the Canadian broadcast industry to meet their evolving needs,” the release says.
Orbyt Media also announced Jason Bailey joins Orbyt as network strategist and consultant, beginning today.
To this consulting role, Bailey brings “years of experience and expertise both in FM radio and the content syndication business. For more than 12 years, Bailey was the owner and president of Sun Broadcast Group, and he is currently developer and CEO of ARC Software,” the release says.
