MONTREAL — Bell Media’s Noovo Info today revealed the details surrounding its multiplatform election night coverage of Quebec’s upcoming provincial election on Monday, Oct. 3.

Starting at 7 p.m. ET on Noovo, Noovo.ca, Noovo.info, live on Noovo’s Facebook page and on YouTube, news anchors Marie-Christine Bergeron (above, left) and Michel Bherer (above, right) will be joined by their collaborators Yves Boisvert, Philippe J. Fournier, Antonine Yaccarini, Sébastien Proulx, Martine St-Victor, Victor Henriquez, Claudel Pétrin-Desrosiers and Dominic Vallières.

“They will present and explain the important elements of this provincial election, the different races and regions to watch, the decisive battles as well as the strong and less strong moments of the campaign before the unveiling of the first results,” reads an English translation of Bell Media’s press release.

After the polls close, the Noovo Info team will report the results in real-time.

The information service’s journalists “will also be present to take the pulse of the population across Quebec and at all the gatherings held by the five leaders of the main parties,” the translated release says.

In addition, the Gémeaux award-nominated Le Show parallèle will be back for a third edition from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Noovo.info. Host Émilie Clavel will “lift the veil behind the scenes of the evening and will also welcome various guests.”

On radio, special bulletins will be broadcast during the evening on Énergie and Rouge FM stations.

Furthermore, a special section has been dedicated to the provincial election on Noovo.info, offering extensive coverage of the electoral campaign as well as explanatory videos, leader and party profiles and exclusive reports. In addition, “an interactive map will allow citizens to obtain the results in real-time of the ridings that interest them on election night.”

“The journalistic strength of Noovo Info is characterized by its different angles, its distinctive tone, its relevance and it is deployed throughout Quebec, on all platforms,” said Jean-Philippe Pineault, general manager of information at Bell Media, in the English translation.

“In September 2021, the formula put in place during our first election night was welcomed by the public. It was Noovo Info that first announced the election of a minority Liberal government and it is with this enthusiasm and rigour that we are preparing for the evening of October 3.”
