HALIFAX – Capital Networks has launched the country’s first real estate marketing platform in Halifax, providing home hunters with local property listings and real estate content around the clock.

Operated by Capital Networks’ new Atlantic division CN Media Services, Homes On Demand showcases the latest local listings, open houses and home services, plus offers buyers and sellers a list of member agents.  The service is available online and on mobile devices, as well as on Eastlink channels 613 (HD) or 13 (SD) in the Metro Halifax area.

Real estate agents and brokers use a single platform to have their property listing marketed simultaneously on TV, mobile and the dedicated website within 24 hours of securing a new property listing.  Homes on Demand memberships and basic listing submissions are free to licensed realtors, but other advertising opportunities are available to promote an agent, a brokerage or a property itself.  Homes on Demand will also sell television and website commercials to local businesses.

While currently limited to properties in the Halifax area, a Capital Networks spokesperson said that the region is an ideal starting location to test the popularity of local real estate marketing, and confirmed that the company does have plans to expand the service.  CN Media Services currently offers programming guide channels in various communities in Nova Scotia, PEI, Newfoundland, northern Ontario and in Oliver/Osoyoos in B.C.

“We are excited and proud to be launching in Halifax.  We are using the largest real estate market in Atlantic Canada to launch the service, gain feedback from the industry and our audience before expanding across the region”, said Atlantic region business development director Barry Scott, in an emailed statement.  “The platform is easy to use for agents and brokers to advertise their properties across three mediums which ultimately translates into to a great experience for both home buyers and sellers.”
