Grocery retailer Loblaw Companies Limited last week launched No Name Mobile, offering low-priced data plans powered by its PC Mobile service that runs on Bell Mobility’s network.
Loblaw is selling SIM cards for the 4G-only No Name Mobile service through its No Frills store locations. Customers can then activate their SIM card online or via phone.
Prepaid data plans range in price from $19 per month for 1 GB of data to $50 per month for 105 GB of data. Subscribers who sign up to automatically top up their account each month can get additional bonus data.
All of the plans include unlimited calls Canada-wide and to the U.S., plus Canada-wide and international texting, and call display, three-way calling, voicemail, call waiting and call forwarding features.
No Name Mobile says its service is available to more than 99 per cent of the Canadian population, according to its coverage webpage.
No Name Mobile’s launch was first reported by MobileSyrup.
