MONTREAL — TVA Group’s Incendo and Screentime New Zealand today announced they have started principal photography on a new TV movie, Love Knots, which will air as part of Citytv’s Fall in Love Fridays lineup.
Being shot on location in New Zealand, Love Knots is written by John Banas and directed by Josh Frizzell (Together Forever Tea, Ablaze, Fresh Eggs). The movie is being produced in association with Rogers Sports and Media’s Citytv channel. Samantha Ellison, Bridget Bourke and Tina McLaren will produce the film. Jean Bureau, Ian Whitehead and Philly de Lacey are executive producers.
The movie stars New Zealand actress Brooke Williams (12 Monkeys, The Shannara Chronicles), as well as Matthew Walker and Beth Alexander (The Brokenwood Mysteries, The Cul de Sac).
In Love Knots, Jodie Carpenter is the owner of her family’s sail-making company located near quaint Redmond’s Bay Marina. When luxury developer Charles Prescott purchases the port looking to carry out a lavish expansion, Jodie fears her business and heritage will be torn down and replaced.
