TORONTO — Hollywood Suite today announced the second season of the A Year in Film podcast will launch on Tuesday, April 13, with 24 episodes scheduled to be released on a weekly basis this season.
Each podcast episode discusses two thematically linked films, with titles curated from the years 1975, 1986, 1994 and 2000. The podcast is an extension of the TV series of the same name (which debuted its own second season in December 2020).
Co-hosted by Becky Shrimpton, Alicia Fletcher and Cameron Maitland, this season’s podcasts will feature special guest hosts including Canadian critic Carolyn Mauricette, writer and programmer Kier-La Janisse, and The Important Cinema Club hosts Justin Decloux and Will Sloan.
The first two episodes of season two cover the 1975 films The Day of the Locust, At Long Last Love, Rollerball and Death Race 2000, and will be released on April 13. The remaining episodes will follow weekly on Tuesdays. (See the full episode list below.)
