NEW YORK — Fox News Media announced today it is launching a new subscription-based streaming service which will bring live content from its Fox News and Fox Business linear channels to international audiences. However, the company won’t say if the new streamer is coming to Canada (we asked).

The direct-to-consumer service is priced at US$6.99 per month and will debut in Mexico on August 20, followed by Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom on September 17.

Fox News says the streaming service is expected to reach 20 countries by the end of the year, but declined to disclose to Cartt.ca if Canada will be included among those.

Fox News International will be available through mobile and OTT devices, launching on iPhone, Android, Apple TV and Android TV, with Amazon Fire TV and Roku expected shortly after launch.

Of course the main American Fox News channel, which features a number of pinhead blowhards performing journalistic malpractice by spewing conspiracy theories and other garbage, is carried by many BDUs in Canada.
