HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Kentucky — Five North American manufacturers — Prysmian Group, Clearfield, Dura-Line, Oldcastle Infrastructure and Primex — announced today they are teaming up to deliver a comprehensive high-speed broadband infrastructure solution to serve rural areas of Canada.
Called FibreONE, the group’s solution encompasses a full range of telecommunication solutions, drawing from each partner company’s strongest technology to deliver one best-in-class solution to customers, says the group’s press release.
This end-to-end solution features technologies from:
- Prysmian Group, with North American headquarters in Highland Heights, Kentucky, and a Canadian location in Johnstown, Ontario, is a world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry and the largest manufacturer of cables in the world measured in revenues;
- Clearfield Inc., based in Minneapolis, specializes in fibre management for service providers, offering craft-friendly fibre-optic management and pathway products;
- Dura-Line, headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee but with locations in Gravenhurst, Ontario, and Red Deer, Alberta, is a leading international manufacturer and distributor of communication and energy infrastructure products and systems including conduit, cable-in-conduit, pipe and accessories;
- Oldcastle Infrastructure, based in Atlanta but with a manufacturing facility in Candiac, Quebec, provides a wide product breadth of composite underground enclosures protecting essential infrastructure connections for communications and telecom markets; and
- Primex Technologies, based in Langley, B.C., provides premium engineered plastic enclosures to leading copper, coax and fibre service providers, integrators and builders.
