TORONTO – Bell Media’s Toronto news channel CP24 announced Thursday its all-new primetime program, CP24 Tonight, will premiere Monday, March 1 at 7 p.m.
Hosted by Reshmi Nair and Nick Dixon, the two-hour show is aimed at going “beyond the headlines and features expert analysis, live reports from communities across the GTA, and interviews with the top newsmakers of the day,” reads the press release.
“With two veteran journalists at the helm… CP24 Tonight delivers GTA viewers with even more of what they expect from CP24 – trusted coverage of the stories that matter most,” said Michael Melling, general manager, CP24, in the release.
“We’re going to tackle the pressing issues that have come to light during the global pandemic by digging in deep with newsmakers and holding panel discussions with voices that deserve to be elevated and heard,” said Nair.
“At a time when people want to know more about what’s happening in their world, and to hear from the people that shape it, I’m confident CP24 Tonight will connect with viewers and satisfy their need to know and understand,” added Dixon.
