MONTREAL — A new original docuseries exploring multicultural relationships, Coeurs migratoires (above, Migratory Hearts), is coming to Canal Vie starting Nov. 2 at 8 p.m., Bell Media announced today.
This series “plunges viewers into the daily lives of couples where one of the spouses has just arrived in Canada, or is still abroad, waiting for a visa,” reads an English translation of Bell Media’s emailed announcement.
“By accompanying them on their journey of integration into their new life, the series paints a picture of the pitfalls they encounter and the intensity that comes from a multicultural romantic relationship,” the translated release says.
In the first episode, viewers are introduced to the couples Jean-Pierre and Taimelys, Ousseni and Marlène, Marc and Melissa, Émilie and Tariq, and Isabelle and Josué as they start navigating their new relationships and lives. Episode two shows the couples’ struggles as they risk everything to be together.
