TORONTO — ZoomerMedia Limited announced today Beverley Shenken (above) has been promoted to the role of chief content officer of the broadcaster’s television division.
“A 32-year television industry veteran, Shenken now adds affiliate relations to her ongoing programming, scheduling, independent production, and regulatory responsibilities,” explains a press release announcing her promotion.
Shenken was previously vice-president of content and programming and general manager of ZoomerMedia’s TV division.
Shenken now serves as the chief liaison between ZoomerMedia and Canada’s broadcast distribution undertakings, the release says, adding she will lead negotiations for multi-year carriage and distribution agreements for ZoomerMedia’s TV properties, which include VisionTV, OneTV: The Exercise & Entertainment Channel, JoyTV in Vancouver, Victoria, Surrey and the Fraser Valley, and FaithTV in Winnipeg.
