MONTREAL – Bell Media announced today the new Crave original series Une Affaire Criminelle (A Criminal Case) will be available to stream in spring 2022.
The series was written by Joanne Arseneau, directed by Stéphane Lapointe and produced by Sophie Deschênes of Productions Sovimage, the company producing the series in collaboration with Bell Media.
Une Affaire Criminelle stars Céline Bonnier and Louis-Philippe Dandenault. Other cast members include Marie Turgeon, Victor Andres Trelles Turgeon, Raymond Bouchard, Marc Messier, Anglesh Major, Bobby Beshro, Pier Paquette, Pascale Desrochers and Stéphane Demers.
“Catherine Godin (Céline Bonnier) and Benoît “Bing” Inglis (Louis-Philippe Dandenault) are interviewed by investigators from the Office of Independent Investigations into events that have taken place over the last fifteen years,” reads an English translation of the French-language press release announcing the show.
“While Catherine is fighting to exonerate her son (Maxime-Olivier Potvin), accused of a murder he allegedly never committed, Bing, a major crime investigator who has always been in love with her, seems to be protecting a loved one who has allegedly been involved in the case.”
Une Affaire Criminelle consists of eight, 60-minute episodes. “Shooting has already begun and will end in November,” the press release says.
