TORONTO — Corus Entertainment announced today its ABC Spark channel is starting a month-long national free preview on April 1, during which it will premiere a new series, Cruel Summer, a psychological thriller from executive producer Jessica Biel.

Cruel Summer follows two young women: Kate Wallis, the popular girl with a charmed life who goes missing one day, and Jeanette Turner, the nerdy wannabe accused of being connected to Kate’s disappearance. “Set over three summers and told through shifting points of view, the series challenges perception and follows how one girl can go from being a sweet outlier to the most despised person in America,” reads the series description. Cruel Summer’s two-hour series premiere is scheduled for Tuesday, April 20 at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET/PT, with all new episodes airing Tuesdays at 10 pm. ET/PT.

Earlier in the month, season two of Everything’s Gonna Be Okay will kick off with back-to-back episodes on Thursday, April 8 at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. New episodes air Thursdays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.

ABC Spark is also presenting a special marathon of the latest episodes of grown-ish (season 3b) on Thursday, April 8, beginning at 6 p.m. ET/PT.

In addition, new episodes of Good Trouble air Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, with this season’s spring finale scheduled for Wednesday, April 21.
