TORONTO — Bell Media’s Crave announced today its new original competition series Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs The World will premiere Friday, Nov. 18 at 9 p.m. ET.
The six-part series, which features nine world-renowned drag artists including four from Canada’s Drag Race, will be available in English and French on Crave. New episodes will drop Fridays at 9 p.m. ET.
Canada’s Drag Race resident judges Brooke Lynn Hytes, Brad Goreski and Traci Melchor will bring their judging expertise to Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs The World, where they will be joined by guest judges and special guests throughout the season, explains a press release.
“While Canada hosts the competition, in every episode of Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs The World, it’s each queen for herself,” the release reads. “Queens’ talents are tested in maxi and mini challenges, and lip-sync battles, where one queen wins the chance to eliminate a fellow competitor, until a winner is crowned. Throughout this journey, the queens have the opportunity to share their personal struggles and successes, and showcase the importance of celebrating everyone’s Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent.”
The nine competitors include Canadian queens Icesis Couture, Kendall Gender, Rita Baga and Stephanie Prince, alongside Ra’Jah O’Hara and Silky Nutmeg Ganache from the U.S., Anita Wigl’it from New Zealand, Vanity Milan from England, and Victoria Scone from Wales.
