TORONTO — Toronto-based live television app toober, announced today it launched 12 more channels in September, expanding its arts, travel, esports, sports, music and entertainment content.
toober “aims to fill a gap in the live streaming market by providing subscribers access to all of their favourite channels from around the world at one low price,” a press release says.
The new channels include:
- Scream Flix — an English-language channel from Jungo featuring Asian, European and Hollywood horror films.
- Front Row — an English-language music channel from Jungo featuring “the biggest acts performing in the biggest gigs from around the globe”, says the release. Artists include U2, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Kylie Minogue.
- A8 Esports — an English-language channel from Jungo featuring live and classic esports tournaments, esports talk from community experts, and “a wide variety of video games enthusiast content for every type of fan.”
- Toro TV — “a fun and action-packed English-language channel from Jungo powered by testosterone and featuring everything from 80s action films to extreme sports.”
- Phim Viet — a Vietnamese drama channel from Jungo.
- On Biz — a Vietnamese travel channel from Jungo.
- On Sports — a Vietnamese sports channel from Jungo.
- Cinemundo Pinoy — a Filipino channel from Jungo featuring Tagalog dubbed films.
- Black Belt — an English-language channel from Jungo and Black Belt Magazine, featuring “videos all over the martial arts spectrum, including expert demonstrations, techniques, and weapons, as well as coverage of events and festivals.”
- Napoli International TV — “the first satellite and cable TV dedicated to Italians abroad founded by Francesco Elia in 1999, a wing of the local TVA Campania broadcaster founded in 1980.”
- MyZen TV — an English-language lifestyle channel offering viewers “practical advice, inspiring experiences, and entertainment to help them live better lives and be happier people.”
- Museum TV — an English-language channel and the world’s first channel entirely dedicated to visual arts, according to the release.
The toober app is available in Canada on Rogers, Shaw, Videotron, Apple TV, Google TV Playstore and Roku, as well as in the United States and Mexico via LG, Roku and Apple TV.
“Additional global availability is forthcoming, and toober will be launching on additional platforms in the coming months,” the release says.
