OTTAWA — Gusto Worldwide Media announced today its international food channel Gusto TV has partnered with LG Channels to launch a video-on-demand streaming service in 19 countries.

With the new partnership, Gusto TV will become available on LG smart TVs running webOS 3.0 and higher across the 19 countries, which according to a Gusto spokesperson includes the U.S., Germany, Finland, The Netherlands, Ireland, Norway, Belgium, Spain, U.K., Austria, Luxembourg, Italy, France, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Brazil and Mexico.

There are also plans for Gusto TV to launch through LG Channels in Canada, the spokesperson said in an email, adding a firm launch date has not been set but it “should be within the next few months.”

“When it comes to home entertainment, LG Channel viewers expect the best, and with the addition of Gusto TV to the platform, that’s what they’re going to get,” said Chris Knight, president and CEO of Gusto Worldwide Media, in a press release. “We’re stoked to launch in 19 countries with LG Channels, and excited viewers will have access to our line-up of the world’s most diverse culinary originals.”

Offering hundreds of hours of proprietary content, Gusto TV’s titles can be viewed in English, Spanish and Mandarin across more than 160 countries on more than 30 different platforms.
