TORONTO — Blue Ant Media announced today the British series The Hairy Bikers’ Chocolate Challenge will make its Canadian broadcast premiere on Blue Ant’s Makeful TV channel on July 6.
Hosted by “The Hairy Bikers”, Si King and Dave Myers (above, left to right), alongside award-winning chocolatier Ruth Hinks, the series (five episodes x 60 minutes) follows seven amateur chocolatiers as they compete to win a chance to create a brand-new version of one of Britain’s most popular chocolate bars, Kit Kat, which will be manufactured and sold by Nestlé.
“Battling it out through various chocolate-filled challenges, the contestants will have to show incredible edible imagination, a flair for design and marketing and a mastery of technique. Who will have the skills to realize their chocolate ambitions and who will see their dreams melt away?” reads Blue Ant’s press release.
The Hairy Bikers’ Chocolate Challenge was produced by Twofour, part of ITV Studios, and Motion Content Group.
The series will premiere on Makeful TV on Tuesday, July 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
