Plus, new sales rep and international distribution deals for hit series
TORONTO — One day after announcing the greenlight of original series Pamela Anderson’s Home Reno Project, Corus Studios announced today another new series order, Hoarder House Flippers, which, like the Anderson series, will premiere on HGTV Canada in 2022 and is available for international sale.
Hoarder House Flippers (six episodes x 60 minutes) features real estate investors “who take on the most derelict hoarder spaces and completely transform them into gorgeous, money-making homes,” reads the series description in Corus Studios’ press release. The series is produced by Anaïd Productions and Corus’s Debbie Brown is the executive in charge of production. Worldwide sales for Corus Studios are brokered by Rita Carbone Fleury.
Corus Studios also announced today it has secured new international distribution deals for hit titles including Island of Bryan (with France’s M6 and Australia’s Foxtel), Rock Solid Builds (above, Australia’s Nine Network), Project Bakeover (Australia’s Foxtel) and Salvage Kings (Poland, Romania, Sweden, the Middle East and Africa, the UK and Benelux).
In addition, Corus Studios has expanded its worldwide sales force with the addition of Leyla Formoso as sales representative for Latin America and select European territories (France, Italy, Portugal and Spain), the company announced today. Formoso has worked for more than 10 years at Corus Entertainment’s animation studio, Nelvana, and she will continue to oversee Latin American sales for Nelvana in addition to her new role with Corus Studios.
