EDMONTON — Super Channel announced today it will air all four seasons of The Royals and all eight seasons of Weeds this summer on Super Channel Fuse.
Set in modern-day London, The Royals (above, left) is a drama about a fictional British Royal family “that inhabits a world of opulence, lust, sizzling scandal, and regal tradition — a world that also comes with a price tag of duty, destiny and intense public scrutiny,” reads Super Channel’s press release. Shot entirely in the UK, the series features Elizabeth Hurley and Vincent Regan as Queen Helena and King Simon, along with William Moseley as Prince Liam and Alexandra Park as Princess Eleanor.
The Royals will have a four-episode premiere on Thursday, July 1 at 8 p.m. ET on Super Channel Fuse. Then, two episodes will air weekly on Thursdays beginning at 8 p.m. ET. All episodes from all four seasons of the series (40 episodes x 44 minutes) will be available to binge beginning July 2 on Super Channel On Demand.
Weeds (above, right) is the subversive, satirical and hilarious comedy starring Mary Louise Parker as a single suburban mom who resorts to selling weed to support her family after her husband dies unexpectedly. The series also stars Kevin Nealon, Elizabeth Perkins, Justin Kirk, Hunter Parrish and Alexander Gould.
Super Channel Fuse will air four half-hour episodes of Weeds on Tuesdays each week, beginning August 3 at 9 p.m. ET. All episodes from all eight seasons of the series (102 x 30) will be available to watch on Super Channel On Demand starting August 4.
Both series are produced by Lionsgate Television.
