TORONTO – Rogers Cable said today it has added popular Greek channel, Mega Cosmos to its digital cable lineup.

From now until November 12th, 2007 Rogers Personal TV customers can preview the Greek programming for free on channel 575.

"Rogers recognizes that many of its customers want multicultural programming and we aim to meet those demands through our ever-expanding multicultural offerings," said David Purdy, Rogers’ vice-president of television, in a release.

Mega Cosmos is Greece’s largest and most popular TV station, adds the release. It offers Greek language entertainment television with 24-hour news programs, sports, movies, dramas, game shows and more.

"We’re delighted to share our programming with the Rogers audience," said Slava Levin, president and CEO of Ethnic Channels Group. "We know we have quality programming to offer the Greek diaspora in Canada and we encourage people to check out the free preview."

With the addition of MEGA Cosmos, Rogers continues to offer its customers the most multicultural programming with over 65 channels in more than 20 different languages. This is the third Greek channel Rogers offers its customers (both ERT sat and Odyssey Television are available to Personal TV subscribers).

For $35 Rogers Personal TV customers can order MEGA Cosmos along with Odyssey Television and ERT sat. For $30 a month customers can combine MEGA Cosmos with Odyssey Television.
